The Challenge
To comply with my non-disclosure agreement, I have omitted confidential information in this case study. All information is my own and does not necessarily reflect the views of Bidigi.
Bidigi e.V. is a non profit organization that implements digital and participatory education projects. It stands for diversity and inclusion.
I have been working for Bidigi from 2022 to 2023 and managed several UX and UI projects. These include the bidigi.de website, among an audio walk app (#insideHISTORY) and a learning app (disco).
Goals
The main goal was to create a responsive website that is easy to understand, and as accessible as possible. It should illustrate the company's goals in an appealing, friendly and modern way. The website should also be modularly expandable so that further projects can be easily integrated.
My Tasks
Here I took over the entire creative process: consultation, coordination of the site structure, navigation and layout, clickable prototype, CI (logo, colors and typo development), visual design, imagery, fine concept, illustrations, micro animations, handover to the developers, social media design templates.
Tools
Figma, Miro, Canva
Colors
The Bidigi colors should reflect the themes of diversity and inclusion. Since the background colors black and white alternate playfully, two color gradations had to be created that form enough contrast on the respective background to be legible and at the same time clearly recognizable from the same color tone.

Logo
For the Bidigi logo I have chosen the bold and bright Gilbert font (and modified it). Gilbert is a tribute font to honor the memory of Gilbert Baker, the creator of the LGBT Rainbow Flag. This colorful typeface was supposedly designed to express diversity and inclusion and is free for anybody. It expresses the values of Bidigi as its best.

Responsive Homepage
After finalizing the CI and completion of the wireframes in Miro, I continued the design process in Figma.

Animated Icons
And to make the website even more playful, I created a few animated icons.

More logos for Bidigi
Bidigi realizes many educational projects that stand on their own. Of course, each brand needs its own logo. A dream for every visual designer. 😍
