The Challenge
To comply with my non-disclosure agreement, I have omitted confidential information in this case study. All information is my own and does not necessarily reflect the views of Bidigi, the creator of #insideHISTORY.
#insideHISTORY is an artistic-historical project based on the question of how the form and content of Nazi remembrance culture in public space must change in order to adapt to our rapidly changing world, they produce digital sound installations. On walks through different cities these audio pieces bring everyday life, resistance and persecution during the Nazi regime of injustice and beyond back so that we can think about it anew.
As part of the Bidigi team I was commissioned to develop both the concept and the design including CI development for the app and the associated landing page which is used as a marketing tool.
Our High Level Goals
The user interface should be intuitive as possible and easy to use. The colors should be serious and a bit dramatic, but not too heavy. They should not remind of the Nazi regime in any way.
My Role
I took over the entire creative process for both the app and the landing page: Consultation, coordination of the page structure, building of wireframes, clickdummy, guerilla UX user test incl. evaluation, logo, colour and typo development, layout, imagery, detailed concept, illustrations, micro animations, social media design templates and smaller print works.

The Logo
The logo should be a bit rough and schoolish. The two corners visualize that there is something inside.
The integrated hashtag was crucial so that the project can be found immediately on social media.
